By corporating with domestic agencies in the US and Hong Kong, YG Entertainment wants to improve the overseas expansion of its artists. While "YG USA" will focus on the YG Artists' advancement into the Western music market, "YG Hong Kong" will be in charge of promoting the artists in the Asian music market.
An official stated that YG Entertainment has been preparing for a worldwide advancement since spring 2011 and has finally reached its final stage, indicating that the establishment of the branch offices will be quite soon.
