Super Junior Considering Creating Japanese Sub Unit

Super Junior has been in Japan holding its "Super Show 4" concerts in Tokyo. During a press conference before the show, the group members revealed they are thinking about forming a Japanese subunit.

"We never stayed in Japan to promote and it’s not like we had official promotions in Japan, either. But we think because of k-pop’s overall popularity, we gained a lot of fan support. In order to return the love, we are also thinking about unit groups in Japan," the group stated.

In addition, the group also commented on comparisons to TVXQ's popularity in Japan.

"We think we benefited a lot from Hallyu’s recent popularity. Many people compare our popularity to TVXQ’s, but we really have a long way to go. TVXQ’s fandom is beyond imagination. TVXQ first started with small scale concerts with only 500 seats when they first came to Japan. They worked extremely hard to work their way up and achieved the results they did," the said.

Although remaining modest in front of the press, Super Junior's popularity in Japan has become undeniable as their latest Japanese single "Opera" climbed to the top of the Oricon Daily Singles chart. The single has sold over 150,000 copies in 6 days.

Super Junior's "Opera" Tops Oricon Daily Charts

On May 9th, Super Junior released its Japanese single "Opera". The single reached number 3 on the Oricon Daily Singles Chart with 54,331 copies sold.

On May 14th, the group topped the Oricon Daily Singles Chart, selling 36,227 copies, beating top Japanese artists like Arashi and NMB48. This brings the single's total sales up to 155,603 copies.

In addition, the group has seen much success with their "Super Show 4" concerts at the Tokyo Dome, performing for more than 100,000 screaming fans.

Super Junior's Kang In Shows his New Face

It has been almost a month since Super Junior's Kang In left the army and fans can already notice some changes on him.

Kang In is keeping in touch with fans through his Twitter account updating about his daily activities and sharing pictures. However the last picture he posted made fans a bit concerned.

The singer ended his army duty last month but he has lost a lot of weight since he returned. On the new picture he looks skinnier and his cute cheeks have disappeared.

Fans have replied to his picture with comments like: "OMO!! Kangin Oppa slimmed down a lot~!!", "it's not you asdladkasdj! you're so thin D:", "Are you on a diet?Please keep fit and stay healthy at the same time.Slow down~good night~" and "wooow oppa you sure are working very hard for 6jib and some SS4presentations !! FIHGINTG KANGIN …".

Some fans are really worried and also asked him not to work so hard and take care of himself.

G-Dragon Hints at New Concept with Extreme Makeover to Red Hair?

Big Bang's leader G-Dragon has changed his "seaweed hairstyle" into another shocking hairstyle. Might that be a hint at the concept for his upcoming solo album?

On 5th May, G-Dragon attended the show of "God's Kitchen Fusion" at Sheraton Grand Walkerhill in Seoul. There he met German DJ and producerBoys Noize and posed backstage together with him revealing his new red hairstyle. You can take a look at the taken photos in the gallery!

G-Dragon Was a Trainee Under SM Entertainment for 5 Years

During the latest episode of Mnet's "Wide Entertainment News", many interesting untold bits of information about Korea's entertainment industry were revealed.

One of topics discussed during the show included the fact that Big Bang's G-Dragon was a trainee under SM Entertainment before joining YG.

Actually a lot of fans have known about this for a while, however a few extra details were shared.

As VIPs know, G-Dragon joined SM Entertainment with the hopes of becoming a singer. He entered the company when he was just 8 years old and trained with them for 5 years. However, instead of staying with SM Entertainment, G-Dragon switched to YG Entertainment where he was placed in Big Bang. The reason for this switch was not revealed.

Super Junior Held 3 Successful Super Show 4 Concerts in Indonesia

2012 is a special year for Indonesian ELF not only because Super Junior presented its amazing Super Show 4 in the country but also because it was the first time a band presented 3 shows in a row at the MEIS (Mata Elang International Stadium), Jakarta, Indonesia.

After selling all the tickets for the first 2 shows and opening a 3rd date, Super Junior started its amazing adventure with Indonesian ELFs for this spectacular and unforgettable show.

The euphoria of the 3 dates of the Super Show 4 in Indonesia that were hold on April 27th, 28th and 29th will forever last on the hearts of Indonesian ELF.

Since the first day of Super Show 4 Indonesia, Ancol had been filled by ELF.
The high anticipation crowd of ELF who wanted to see their idols was very noticeable. 12 shuttle buses that had been picking up ELF from bus station to the venue inside Ancol had started their work since early morning. Some fans chose to stay in hotels inside Ancol for easier access to the venue. ELF from outside Jakarta and Indonesia gathered in one big hall and created a sapphire blue ocean in minutes.

Super Junior kicked off the concert with "Superman" and interacted with fans who were not only in Super Box but also all around the stage, even with fans on second and third floor. They were so hyperactive running all around the stage and greeted fans as they passed by.

The Super Show 4 also included a walking stage and water fountain to make the performance livelier. Super Junior also used some VCRs playing while they were changing costumes. And not to forget the theme of each section was supported by their great costumes.

After the first solo performances, a VCR played with a story of high school friendship. Super Junior appeared and pretended to perform as a band, to continue the story that they have graduated and succeeded in their own ways. Siwon appeared in Superman costume, Leeteuk as Hulk, Yesung in his Chucky costume, Sungmin appeared as a sexy Marilyn Monroe, Donghae as Charlie Chaplin, Kyuhyun was the new Steve Jobs, Ryeowook in a Gollum costume, Eunhyuk appeared in chicken costume, and finally Britney Spears that was played by Shindong. They even used a piece from the classic musical film "The Sound of Music" as their theme song for the parody named "The Sound of Super Junior" where each of them played role in "The Sound of Music", Siwon as Captain Von Trapp, and Shindong as Maria, and the rest members as their kids.

When EXO-M performed, there was no black ocean like rumored before. ELF even sang along and some raised EXO banners. EXO-M showed off a quite impressive performance as Super Junior's junior. They went on stage and performed "MAMA" and "History".

Once "Our Love" started playing, ELF raised One Love hand-banner at the same time and sang along the song with Super Junior. Siwon gave thumbs up to ELF for the project.

Super Junior members did quite a great job in Bahasa Indonesia too. They had some interaction with ELF in Bahasa too. Shindong kept saying "Hatur Nuhun" which means thank you in Sundanese. And Leeteuk said, "saya mencintai Indonesia gadis" (he meant to say that he loves Indonesian girls). Shindong also did a solo dance to Indonesian song by Vidi Aldiano, "Cinta Jangan Kau Pergi" (Love, Please Don't Go).

The concert wrapped up with an encore performance while the Super Junior members played around the stage. Siwon had to take off his shirt and show his chocolate abs after losing to Leeteuk in a "rock, scissor, paper" game during the encore. He even posed sexily near the fountain and ended up getting wet looking even hotter.

As a closing of the day, they thanked everyone present including fans, dancers and the crew who helped make the show turn into a reality. The leader of EXO-M, Kris, also added his greeting and introduced EXO-M to everyone in MEIS.

Big Bang Claims Another Victory

Big Bang won another victory for the category in "Best Fan"! On 4th May, the E1 All That Skate Spring 2012 took place at the Seoul Songpa-gu Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium. Kim Jin Seo, who is the current figure skating champion in Korea, showcased a hot performance at the event, choosing Big Bang's "FANTASTIC BABY" as his theme song. His performance was one of the most catchy ones and gained many cheers from the audience.

YG Releases Photo of Another Unknown Girl

Weeks after releasing the first "Who's that girl??" teaser, YG Entertainment uploaded another one through its official blog on 4th May.

Unlike the first teaser, the photo of the 2nd mysterious girl is black-and-white and she wears a more elegant and chic outfit. Since the photo shows only her head and shoulders, the focus is apparently chosen to be on her skin or facial beauty.

It took netizens only 4 days to identify Kim Jenny, whose photo was the first to be released as "Who's that girl??" teaser. How long will it take this time? Have a guess!

L'arc-en-Ciel Members are Girls' Generation Fans?

Japanese rock group L'arc-en-Ciel, which members are preparing for a
concert in Korea on 5th May, said that they would like to see Girls' Generation on their concert.

In a reportage the group members were wondering which Korean singers will go to their concert and mentioned that perhaps Girl's Generationmembers showing some interest on the ladies presence.

Several k-pop idols have mentioned that they are fans of the band so it is possible that a few of them might be there this weekend.

L'arc-en-Ciel will be on stage at Jamsil Indoor Gymnastics Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul at 7pm KST on May 5th.

JYJ's Jaejoong Shares Picture of New Drama "Time Slip Dr. Jin"

No he is not the 5th ranger on "Rooftop Prince" but looks like one.

Jaejoong will be part of the new drama "Time Slip Dr. Jin", which will also be stared by Song Seung Heon, Lee Bum Soo, Park Min Young and Jin Yi Han, which tells the story about a Doctor who travels to the past and has to face the lack of technology and start working with medicine on a different way.

The JYJ member actually shared a picture on the filming set of the drama completely dressed with traditional clothes and having a drink.

He also mentioned that his fruits on the game "Rule the Sky" were taken but instead of reprimanding the fans he asked them to keep taking them away.

Netizens praised him saying he looked good no matter what he wears and said he was really cute when it was about the game and also some promised they will not keep taking the fruits away.

Note: "Rule the Sky" is mobile phone game and Jaejoong has been playing it a lot lately.
